Absolutely a gem of a restaurant here in the valley. Well worth the trip. One of the best bowls of gumbo I’ve ever eaten. Quaint, clean, modern, with a dash of southern hospitality. Highly recommend. The biscuit is extra and well worth 4.

A group of us were visiting a farm in the area and the idea of Southern cuisine in the Colorado mountains sound interesting for lunch. Though it’s located in a strip mall, entering the restaurant brings a totally different vibe. Great menu and great service. We ended up with a bigger lunch than expected as everything just sound amazing! And everything looks and tastes delicious (so we forgot to take photos!). A gem indeed!

My family and I were in town and looking for something good for all of us. After a long day. This place came up on google so we decided to give it try. The BEST DECISION we made. The food was incredible. It’s better than your typical Southern food. Everything was deeply flavorful and moist. My 2 year old ate up the meatloaf. My husband devoured his food. We skipped another place and went back the next day and the food was just as amazing. This is a must try if you are in the area. We will make another trip back absolutely! The service was exceptional, the drinks were so good as well. Thank you the wonderful food!

Really cute restaurant. Andrea was our server was very attentive, down to pouring our water. I love the cute bar ambiance. Centers the place. Great for a quick date night. Our just a filling meal. We were straight off the slops. We had on sweats and boots, temp outside was 10 degrees. Sarah was very nice, I love how informative she was bout the area of El Jebel and the following towns. I had shrimp and grits a savory dish, and I will definitely get it again. Also, the fried green tomatoes with the pickled salsa. The others had the catfish dinner, which was really good and filling. The classic corn bread was really good. One had the blue crab mac and cheese. It was really good, but it needs a little more blue crab. The place is mid-size, so I would recommend reservations. We were lucky to be able to walk in to be seated. The service was excellent. Definitely recommend.

Been living in the valley for few years now and it was my first time trying this restaurant. I was suprised how good the food was . First, we’ve been greeted by the owner herself and she served us too. She was very nice and friendly . The food came out on time. We started with the chicken liver pate which is probably my favorite. The fried chicken was a bit undercooked but she was able to have it fixed for us . The grits were amazing and so as the brussel sprouts. They have plenty of dessert options but we didn’t have any more room . (Maybe next time ) The interior and design of the restaurant was very cozy too .

Amazing little find for brunch. The main course portions were a little big but not at the cost of taste. Appetizers were amazing and you just have to try the jalapeno cheddar corn bread. Took my 8 & 10 year old and they both thought the food (no kids menu orders here) was awesome. They even tried the wood fired oysters. Go hungry and have a few amazing libations!!!

Whenever I visit Aspen, I usually stay in Basalt. Love the town, but what I really look forward to is coming to this restaurant and stuffing my face after a long day of skiing. The food and cocktails are delicious and the service is top notch. I had the meatloaf, two nights in a row because it was so good. Thank you Hominy staff, especially the manager, for the hospitality and delicious food! You can tell there’s a lot of pride in this business and there should be. The chef even came out to shake my hand and thank me for coming in. Super cute place and highly recommended!

First experience at Hominy. The staff were incredible friendly. It has a very cute atmosphere, easy to talk, and music set a lovely vibe. The decor and music transported us right out of Basalt. Wow... the food was so delicious! We so look forward to coming back for dinner.
